The City of Trenton will receive sealed Bids for their Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Project until 1:00 p.m. local time, Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Trenton City Hall, 111 South Main Street (P.O. Box 72), Trenton, Kentucky, 42286, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Project involves a) lining and coating of the existing WWTP wet well; and b) replacement and installation of the WWTP influent pumps; all at the current facility located in Trenton, Kentucky. Bids are to be addressed to the City of Trenton, 111 South Main Street, Trenton, Kentucky 42286, and shall be marked “Sealed Bid – WWTP Rehabilitation Project.” Bids are also to include on the outside, Bidder’s name and address plus the Bid Receipt date and time. Bids shall be prepared in compliance with the Contract Documents. Interested Bidders will have the opportunity to submit lump sum bid prices for either or both project components listed in the Bid Form.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: McGhee Engineering, Inc., at P.O. Box 267, 202 South Ewing Street, Guthrie, Kentucky 42234 or by calling (270) 483-9985. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:30-4:30 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
All bidders shall submit with their bid an acceptable bid bond or a certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Owner. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the date of the bid opening. The City of Trenton reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. Note that the OWNER reserves the right to award only a portion of the work, at the stated lump sum price(s), due to limited funds available for the project.
