City of Auburn: Wilson Avenue Area Water System Upgrades Project:Wilson Avenue Area Water System Upgrades Project
The City of Auburn will receive separate, sealed Bids for their Wilson Avenue Area Water System Upgrades Project until 3:00 p.m. local time, Thursday , June 29, 2023 at the Auburn City Hall, 103 East Main Street, P.O. Box 465, Auburn, Kentucky, 42206, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The contract involves replacing nearly 1,800 LF of old 2” galvanized pipelines presently serving approximately 19 customers along Wilson Avenue. Additionally, approximately 17 other customers (far side meters) will be transitioned over to an existing 6" DIP waterline which will allow for the removal of all 2" galvanized piping on Wilson Avenue. All work is located in the City of Auburn, Kentucky (Logan County).
This project is being funded with City Reserves plus with Cleaner Water Program (CWP) grant funds administered through the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA). Applicable CWP requirements and provisions must be met by the Bidder and all subcontractors. All bidders shall submit with their bid an acceptable bid bond or a certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Owner. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the date of the bid opening. The City of Auburn reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. Note that the OWNER reserves the right to award only a portion of the work, at the stated unit prices, due to limited funds available for the project.
