he City of Russellville will receive sealed Bids for the construction of the KYTC’s KY Highway 2146 (W. 2^ndStreet) – Town Branch Bridge Replacement Project: Water & Sewer Relocations until 10:00 a.m. local time, Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Russellville City Hall, 168 South Main Street, Russellville, Kentucky, 42276, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The contract involves the relocation of nearly 300 LF of 10-inch gravity sewer plus some incidental water relocations, all in the city limits of Russellville (Logan County) at the intersection of West Second Street and Town Branch (Creek). This work precedes a proposed highway improvement project by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.   The awarded contractor will have 45 calendar days to complete the project upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed.

Bids are to be addressed to the City of Russellville, 168 South Main Street, Russellville, Kentucky 42276, and shall be marked “Sealed Bid – Water & Sewer Relocation Project.”  Bids are also to include on the outside, Bidder’s name and address and the Bid receipt date and time.  Bids shall be prepared in compliance with the requirements of the Instructions to Bidders.

Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, which is McGhee Engineering, Inc., at P.O. Box 267, 202 South Ewing Street, Guthrie, Kentucky 42234 or by calling (270) 483-9985.  A $50.00 non-refundable charge will be required for each set of Bidding Documents (each set includes specifications and 22-inch by 34-inch drawings). Shipping and handling fees are included.  Overnight mailing of Bidding Documents will not be provided.  Bids will be accepted only from contractors holding approved bid forms.
