The Central City Water & Sewer Commission will receive sealed Bids for the construction of their 2^nd Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement & Magnolia Drive Force Main Re-Route Project until 11:00 a.m. local time, Monday, August 12, 2013 at the office of the Central City Water & Sewer Commission, 214 North First Street, Central City, Kentucky 42330, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The contract involves the replacement of an existing section of gravity sewer in Central City in attempts to reduce inflow and infiltration using specific construction methods, plus the re-routing of an existing forces main line to improve pump flow.

Bids are to be addressed to Central City Water & Sewer Commission, P.O. Box 430 or 214 North First Street, Central City, Kentucky, 42330, and shall be marked “Sealed Bid – 2^nd Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement & Magnolia Drive Force Main Re-Route Project.”  Bids are also to include on the outside, Bidder’s name and address and the Bid receipt date and time.  Bids shall be prepared in compliance with the requirements of the Instructions to Bidders. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, which is McGhee Engineering, Inc., at P.O. Box 267, 202 South Ewing Street, Guthrie, Kentucky 42234 or by calling (270) 483-9985.  A $50.00 non-refundable charge will be required for each set of Bidding Documents (each set includes specifications and 24-inch by 36-inch drawings). Shipping and handling fees are included.  Overnight mailing of Bidding Documents will not be provided.  Bids will be accepted only from contractors holding approved bid forms.
