The Central City Water & Sewer Commission will receive separate, sealed Bids for their SCADA System Upgrade Project (Contract 6-2013) until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the office of the Central City Water & Sewer Commission, 214 North First Street, Central City, Kentucky 42330, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Facsimile bids or electronically transmitted bids will not be accepted.
The Contract involves new construction, along with some retro-fitting, of multiple metering vaults in order to monitor hydraulic performance and parameters within the Central City distribution system. The project will include the addition of a new and complete system-wide SCADA system plus various other piping, valves, accessories and associated electrical components in Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) as described by the contract drawings and specifications.
Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, which is McGhee Engineering, Inc., at P.O. Box 267, 202 South Ewing Street, Guthrie, Kentucky 42234 or by calling (270) 483-9985. A $75.00 non-refundable charge will be required for each contract set of Bidding Documents (each set includes specifications and 22-inch by 34-inch drawings). Shipping and handling fees are included. Overnight mailing of Bidding Documents will not be provided. Bids will be accepted only from contractors holding approved bid forms.
