The Christian County Water District will receive separate, sealed Proposals for their Partial System-wide Meter Change Out Project until 2:00 p.m. local time, Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the office of Christian County Water District in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Shipped bids should be sent before bid opening to the District’s physical location of 1940 Dawson Springs Road; Hopkinsville, KY 42241. 

The contract involves the purchase of all equipment, hardware & software for use in implementing a hybrid automated water meter reading system, including cellular endpoints, within an unspecified portion of the Christian County Water District (Christian County, KY). The awarded vendor shall deliver the purchased equipment to the Owner within 30 days of contract execution, unless modified otherwise. 

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: McGhee Engineering, Inc., at P.O. Box 267, 202 South Ewing Street, Guthrie, Kentucky 42234 or by calling (270) 483-9985. Perspective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:30-4:30 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bids will be accepted only from registered contractors holding approved bid forms provided by the Issuing Office. If Bidder offers other products that also meets the project’s needs and specifications, the Bidder may elect to turn in an additional bid for consideration, which includes a separate, unbound copy of the Bid Form along with the Bidder’s Qualifications Statement, all in a separate sealed envelope. This project will be funded with District Reserve monies. Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in this project.
