The City of Lewisburg will receive separate, sealed Proposals for their System-wide Meter Change Out Project until 1:30 p.m. local time, Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Lewisburg City Hall, 549 South Main Street, P.O. Box 239, Lewisburg, Kentucky, 42256, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The contract involves the purchase of all equipment, hardware & software for use in implementing an automated water meter reading system (drive-by) throughout the Lewisburg Water System (Logan County). Also, if the City elects to add to the scope, the contract may involve the installation of all new meters. Presently, there are approximately 1,150 total meters, of various sizes, to be changed out in the system.
This solicitation gives the BIDDER the option to submit pricing for a variety of options, including, 1) Provide Itron Radios only; 2) Provide Itron Radio-Read Compatible Meters; or 3) Provide Radio-Read Compatible Meter System with Other Communication Device plus all required software to interface with the read system and billing software.
If Bidder offers other products that also meets the project’s needs and specifications, the Bidder may elect to turn in an additional bid for consideration, which includes a separate, unbound copy of the Bid Form along with the Bidder’s Qualifications Statement, all in a separate sealed envelope.
This project is funded with City Reserve monies and possibly with Cleaner Water Program (CWP) grant funds administered through the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA). Applicable CWP requirements and provisions must be met by the Bidder and all subcontractors.
