The South Logan Water Association will receive separate, sealed Bids for their Russellville Southern Bypass Utility Relocations (RE-BID) until 9:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2015 at the office of the South Logan Water Association, 114 South Main Street, Adairville, Kentucky 42202, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Contract involves the relocation of nearly 1,400 LF of 6-inch waterline along KY Highway 96, relocation of nearly 1,700 LF of 8-inch waterline along US Highway 431, and other possible improvements due to a proposed highway road project for the new Russellville Southern Bypass in Russellville, Kentucky (Logan County). The Owner anticipates an expedited Award of the Contract so that Work may commence within a few weeks of the bid opening. The awarded contractor will have 60 calendar days to complete the project upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed.

Bids are to be addressed to the South Logan Water Association, 114 South Main Street, Adairville, Kentucky 42202, and shall be marked “Sealed Bid – Russellville Southern Bypass Utility Relocations.” Bids are also to include on the outside, Bidder’s name and address and the Bid receipt date and time. Bids shall be prepared in compliance with the requirements of the Instructions to Bidders.

Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, which is McGhee Engineering, Inc., at P.O. Box 267, 202 South Ewing Street, Guthrie, Kentucky 42234 or by calling (270) 483-9985. A $50.00 non-refundable charge will be required for each contract set of Bidding Documents (each set includes specifications and 22-inch by 34-inch drawings). Shipping and handling fees are included. Overnight mailing of Bidding Documents will not be provided. Bids will be accepted only from contractors holding approved bid forms.
