The City of Nortonville will receive sealed bids for the Nortonville Water System Rehabilitation Project on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall located at 199 South Main Street, Nortonville, Kentucky 42442.  The project involves replacement of the Nortonville water treatment plant and construction of a new water storage tank.  The Contract Documents may be examined at the office of the engineer and at Nortonville City Hall.  Potential bidders wishing to obtain bidding documents may do so by contacting McGhee Engineering, Inc., 202 Ewing Street, P.O. Box 267, Guthrie, KY 42234 or calling (270) 483-9985 during business hours.  There is a $150.00 nonrefundable charge for bidding documents.  Bids will be accepted only from contractors holding approved bid forms.  Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided by the Instruction to Bidders.  Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246 and Title VI.  Minority bidders are encouraged to bid.    Bid results will be available to the public, and will be posted to the engineer’s website (www.mcgheeengineering.com)shortly after opening. The City of Nortonville reserves the right to reject all bids, waive any informality in the bidding process and to award to the contractor perceived as offering the greatest advantage to the City.
